Operating Hours

The current hours of operation for the Stanislaus County Superior Court Clerk's Offices are: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the exception of the Traffic Division which remains open until 4:00 p.m. (effective 11/09/09).  The Family Law, Small Claims (effective 10/1/09) and Criminal divisions are open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Civil Division, which is located at 801 10th Street, is also open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

The Juvenile division is open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.   For information on Juvenile Traffic court, please see "Traffic- Overview of Traffic Services" at this website.

The Modesto Traffic Division is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Their phone hours are: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  NOTE:  Effective October 1st, 2009, the Small Claims Division is relocated to the downtown courthouse facility.  The Clerk's Office for Small Claims will be located at 1100 "I" Street, Modesto, California.

NOTE:  Effective October 1st, 2009, the Turlock Traffic Court is now temporarily closed.  Turlock traffic matters will be heard at Modesto Traffic, located at 2260 Floyd Avenue, Modesto, California.

The Family Law and Civil Divisions each have a drop box located in their respective lobbies. Documents stamped after 4:00 p.m. will be filemarked the following day, and documents stamped up to and including 4:00 p.m. will be filed as of the date received and stamped.  For Criminal Drop Box filings, please use the Drop Box located at the 1100 I Street entrance.  See Document Guidelines for filing in the Drop Box.
