Document Guidlines

Properly completed documents that are accompanied by the correct filing fee (if applicable), and are time-stamped at the Drop Box by 4:00 p.m. will be filed as of the date received. 

Documents time-stamped after 4:00 p.m., or which are not time stamped, will be filemarked with a date of the next business day.

Inportant Notes: 

• The top page of each set of documents must be time-stamped.
• Documents with upcoming hearing dates must indicate the hearing date and the department number on the first page of the document [CRC 311 (b)].
• Motions and Order to Show Cause documents that do not have a reserved court date must be submitted for filing during normal hours of operation which are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Incomplete or incorrect documents will be returned to the originating party without filing.  A self-addressed stamped envelope must accompany copies for conforming, if you desire your conformed copies to be returned by mail.
